Grief Matters: Support
Reactions to death vary widely. While one person may move on after hours or days, others actively mourn for weeks, months or even years. Tears can come without warning. Emotions can run high. Or grief can be very private, free from public display. In the final analysis, we believe that every person must cope with the loss of a loved on his or her own terms. The emotional upheaval these trying times can cause is sometimes so overwhelming that even the support of friends and family may not help relieve the amount of sadness and grief you feel. For that reason, we offer several online resources, designed to aid you as you heal:
Online Grief Support
With our online grief support, you’re assured of our commitment to helping you through this difficult time. It doesn’t matter what time of day, or what day of the week you need support, we’re here for you. You can access online counseling services, join in group grief support, or watch our interactive videos, anytime: 24/7. No matter how you feel at this moment, you have our commitment – you’re never alone.

No matter what time of day, or what day of the week you need support, we are here for you. We invite you to access our online counseling services, join in group grief support, or watch our interactive videos. No matter how you feel at this moment, this is our commitment to you – you are never alone.

- Sesame Street for Children’s Grief
When children experience the loss of someone they love, they may struggle to understand the topic most adults find difficult to face. For this reason, we have teamed up with Sesame Street to offer a kit for parents and caregivers to help young children in their grief. Each kit comes in English and Spanish. Kits contain tips, a DVD, children’s story, and a helpful guide about family communication, emotional expression and age-appropriate tips for moving forward.
